Principle Dentist

Ronette qualified in 1999 Cum Laude (with honours) and worked in general dental practice for a number of years. During this time she started pursuing her interest in orthodontics and worked as a clinical assistant in orthodontics at North Staffordshire hospital, treating complex hospital referral cases, including treatment of impacted canines and orthognatic surgery cases and also worked for a number of years at a specialist NHS orthodontic practice treating the full range of referral orthodontic cases.

She gained a post grad certificate in Orthodontics as well as completing a post grad certificate in Advanced Restorative Dentistry and Occlusion. This led to shifting her focus full-time to performing orthodontics in general practice, treating the full scope of mild to complex orthodontic cases at Ramsbottom Dental Care and is also an Elite level Invisalign provider.

She works in conjunction with the other clinicians at Ramsbottom Dental Care when a multi-disciplinary approach is required to treat complex cases, performing the orthodontic treatment required prior to further restorative interventions such as implants or crowns/veneers. She’s also an experienced facial aesthetics practitioner with over 15 years of experience performing wrinkle relaxing injections, dermal fillers and skin boosters and a trained injector for TMJ dysfunction.

This patient had previously undergone root canal treatment of his front tooth. While the tooth was successfully treated, it gradually became discoloured - a common outcome following this type of procedure.

To achieve the best possible result, we first retreated the root canal to ensure long-term health and stability. This was followed by internal bleaching to lift the darkened shade from within the tooth, preventing it from showing through the final restoration. We also enhanced the overall smile with professional Enlighten whitening for optimal shade matching.

To complete the transformation, we restored the tooth with a custom-made Emax veneer. This allowed us to carefully match the shade and translucency of the surrounding teeth, creating a natural and harmonious appearance.

Importantly, the veneer also reinforces the tooth structure, ensuring it remains both aesthetically pleasing and clinically sound.

Kelly is the best dental hygienist you will ever have the pleasure of looking after your teeth. No area left unchecked, cleaned & polished. I have to say that I've been terrified of dentists and dentistry for most of my life. 1970's dentists left a scar on my psyche, as well as inflict pain on me.

Having said that, I must exclude Dr Goosen and co from the roll call of dentists of horror. I urgently needed a molar removed, and was treated with care and consideration. Never felt a thing.

I've seen the hygienist since, and while it wasn't pleasant, I never thought I'd be in hysterical laughter sat in a dentists chair, but here we are.

They proved to me that I can go to the dentist and be treated well, they are stars.

First class service from a dedicated team of specialists: Dentists, hygeinists, receptionists.
I opted for Invisilign, whitening and composite bonding on six front teeth, the results of which were truly life-changing for me. Dr Fernando’s skill, knowledge and expertise ensured that all my questions were answered through all stages of the process and his understanding and sensitivity alleviated my nerves and anxiety.

Booking my initial appointment and going I felt really anxious, especially after my recent experiences at two MyDentist practices.

Sophie Delaney is incredible at easing your anxiety about the whole process. She asks thorough background questions, conducts a very thorough dental exam where each tooth is clearly checked. The whole thing was so very professional but also human from beginning to end.

Will be using this practice going forwards. ☺️

EDIT: I have so far been to the practice for two fillings after my appointment. I can’t recommend this practice, Sophie and the rest of the staff enough! The injection is my most feared part, Sophie is an expert as the first one felt like a very slight electrical shock rather than pain. With the second one I didn’t feel a thing! Absolutely blown away.

I won’t ever be changing practices I don’t think from now on. Thanks all at Ramsbottom Dental Care.

If you want your life transformed this is the place to go . I had 35 year old crowns 10 of them . Nhs stuck them bk on terrible . I had 1 implant and 10 re crowned . I can now smile again . I have had them 8 years now , Best dentist ever . Ps i have now made my hubby go he hates dentists 😂

I undertook a dental implant recently at Ramsbottom Dental Care due to a broken tooth. Johan carried out the lengthy procedure and at every stage the communication, skill, care and expertise were excellent and I am very pleased with the outcome. I have been with the clinic for almost 20 years and have always been completely satisfied. All the team - dentists, Kelly, the hygienist, dental nurses and receptionists provide exceptional care and treatment with a smile!

I’ve been a patient at this Dentists for a number of years but have not been for some time as I live in Devon having moved from Manchester. On needing some treatment I did not bother looking for a Dentist in Devon preferring to travel to Ramsbottom (500 miles round trips) as I knew the quality of care and service I’d receive and my expectations have been exceeded. I can recommend them to anybody whatever the nature and severity of their dental problems. They are absolutely brilliant with nervous patients. The practice is a credit to all the hard work Johan, his wife Ronette and colleagues have invested in this brilliant dental practice. Thank you.

After discovering Dr. Fernando Bockmann's Instagram showcasing his work, reviews, and workbook, I decided to reach out to Ramsbottom Dental Care to book my first assessment due to some dental issues I was experiencing. My journey at this clinic has been exceptional. I can’t find any faults.
The reception team is attentive, friendly, and welcoming, which made me feel relaxed right from the start. Dr. Bockmann and his team have been fantastic, providing detailed explanations of the treatment process and ensuring excellent aftercare. I cannot fault any aspect of my experience. I highly recommend this dental clinic.

I’ve been seeing Ronette since I was a teenager so for over 20 years now and even with an hour round journey, I wouldn’t go anywhere else, even my daughter loves coming here and seeing Sophie. A few years ago I had to have a treatment that I was scared of, Johan did it and he put me at such ease, he was so gentle and I had absolutely nothing to be scared of. If you are anything like me, going to the dentist can give you the jitters. I don't get that here. The team are excellent. From the warm and friendly reception team to the dentist, hygienist and all the associated dental nurses etc. Today I was in for a clean and polish. They are just so lovely, took their time and left my mouth lovely and fresh.
I don't want to give too good a review as I still want to be able to get in when I go but honestly, they deserve a 6 star rating for the way they treat people!!

I had my first visit today and saw Fernando and the lovely dental nurse (sorry, I didn't get get her name), and was so impressed the moment I stepped into the reception area. The receptionist was so friendly and welcoming, as was everyone else. As I am very nervous, Fernando put me at my ease and explained everything to me in detail. I highly recommend this practice, so much so that I'm even going to make an appointment with the hygienist.

Ramsbottom Dental Care, actually care. They are a great team, really friendly, great at what they do and the clinic is state of the art, it is beautiful. My daughter felt really relaxed with Sophie for a check up & Kelly for sealants, it was reassuring as she gets nervous. I've always been really happy with my treatment (with Johan) and I even got my husband there (with Ronette) after way too many years avoiding dental check ups!

Hygienist was top notch. I'm usually left with saw and bleeding gums but they were meticulous and did it with such precision my teeth were spotless and not an ounce of blood or discomfort.

However, Sophie said I needed a £120 custom fit night guard and they made one for me. I felt rushed and spoken to like I was a nuisance. During fitting it was briefly adjusted once and then quickly put in a box and me sent home. After getting a minute to use it I found it rocks to the right when I bite on it as there's very little contact on the left and there are large bits sticking into my tongue on the right. I don't feel comfortable going back for another adjustment as they've shown they have little time and are more concerned about maximizing throughput and profit. Again, I do not feel comfortable going back.

I recently visited Ramsbottom Dental Care as a new patient, and I couldn’t be more impressed. Sophie Delaney is fantastic – she explained my treatment clearly and made sure I understood every step. I had a white filling done on my front teeth, and the results are amazing! It looks completely natural, and I’m so happy with the outcome.

Kelly Wolfe did a full dental hygiene treatment on my entire set of teeth, and again, the results were incredible. My teeth feel so clean and healthy. Both Sophie and Kelly made me feel well cared for, and it’s clear this practice genuinely puts their patients first. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for excellent dental care!

I can't tell you how much ramsbottom dental care have got rid of my fear of the dentist... I actually miss them between appointments. Lucy and her team are fantastic and reassuringly helpful with my invisalign journey. Dr Goosen and his team always put me at ease and it's like going seeing friends for a chat when I go. Dr Fernando Bockman has been amazing, after recovering from Cancer I knew from the day I met Dr F B after speaking with him that I was in very good hands and have been ever since. He’s so attentive and makes you feel at ease, ( as I’m a very nervous person when it comes to going to the dentist after many years of trauma with two dental practice)
And Kelly the hygienist, again advising me the best way to take care of my teeth.
People don’t realise what trouble you have with your teeth after having such intense cancer treatment. Now I have more confidence, thanks to Dr F B and Kelly.
Not to mention how fantastic you're greeted by the receptionist on every visit.

Johan has been my Dentist for 10 years, he's an excellent Dentist who takes great pride in his work. I've just completed having a dental implant with Johan, I knew he would do a great job, but being an anxious patient I had conscious sedation with Dental Sedation Solutions who the surgery have teamed up with. The procedure was brilliant, it was anxiety and stress free. I would highly recommend this surgery for a First Class Dental Experience from the minute you walk through the door.

I have a tremendous amount of trust and confidence in Johan and his team at Ramsbottom Dental Care. About two years ago a front tooth broke and I have had an implant fitted. It was a masterclass in dental engineering. A 3 dimensional scan is made of the jaw and information transferred to a CAD (Computer Aided design) system. The implant is fitted using a guidance jig and the end result is a perfect match in size, alignment and tooth shade.

Johan is very professional and pays a lot of attention to detail. I would not hesitate to recommend him and his team.

I had the pleasure of visiting Ramsbottom Dental Care today, and I must say it was a surprisingly positive experience. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff was incredibly friendly.

The receptionist was welcoming and the waiting area was really pleasant and comfortable, making the brief wait enjoyable.

Sophie, my dentist, and her assistant Shannon were exceptional. They took the time to explain each step of the examination process and Sophie took the time to go over all of my treatments options in great detail which really helped me to decide the best option for me.

What also stood out was the modern and well-equipped facility. The use of advanced technology not only made the procedures more efficient but also instilled confidence in the quality of care provided.

Overall, my visit to Ramsbottom Dental Care was really positive. I left feeling well taken care of, and I would highly recommend this dental practice to anyone in search of a friendly, professional, and technologically advanced dental experience. Kudos to the entire team for making a routine dental visit such a pleasant one. If only all dentists were like this!

They were both so patient with me and reassured me throughout the appointment . Taking time to explain everything and what to expect, I never felt pressured or rushed it was exactly what I needed to gain some confidence. This practice is by far the very best I have been to - ever! ALL the staff are amazing, from the warmest of welcomes on reception, to the most fantastic and 'state of the art' dental treatment by an experienced, professional and extremely caring dental team. The premises are inviting, relaxing, and absolutely spotless. I've instantly gone from a terrified patient to feeling reassured and happy with my treatment plan - in a very short period of time. I just wish we had found them sooner, and have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them (in fact I do so at every opportunity!) Never before has a dentist extracted my teeth without sedation, but Dr Johan did so with the very minimum of discomfort. I have now regained my smile, and could not be happier - thank you!

We lived in Canada for 20 years and when we returned to the UK eight years ago we struggled to find a hygienist as thorough as our Canadian hygienist. Then we found Ramsbottom Dental Clinic and Kelly the hygienist. She is thorough but gentle and a lovely friendly person. The new premises are lovely with a large airy and bright waiting area. The receptionists are great and always make you feel welcome. I thoroughly recommend this dental practice.

I started visiting Ramsbottom Dental care a number of years ago when I heard they were good at working with anxious patients! I have now used three of the dentists there and am a regular on the dental plan; a regular check up amd hygienist clean for not much more than a tenner a month.

Today I had a crown undertaken and cannot fault the work. I didn't feel a thing; fast, efficient and pain-free.

All of the staff are friendly, helpful and reassuring; appointments at times convenient to me are always available and I would recommend everyone to give them a try.
