Dental emergencies can be anything from a knocked-out tooth to severe toothache. Some other common dental emergencies include a broken or cracked tooth, abscesses or infections, bleeding or swollen gums, and dental trauma due to an accident. If you are experiencing any of these issues, it is essential to seek emergency dental care as soon as possible.
There are many reasons why you may need to visit an emergency dentist in Manchester. For example, if you have a severe toothache or a dental injury, you may not be able to wait for a routine appointment with your regular dentist. In addition, an emergency dentist can provide same-day treatment and pain relief, allowing you to get back to your normal activities quickly. Finally, emergency dentists are often available outside of regular working hours, providing care when you need it most.

Dentists want patients to leave a few things behind in 2025 🦷✨ Fear of the dentist (modern care is far more comfortable than you think), waiting until pain strikes, outdated dental myths, “I’ll floss later” habits, and ignoring early warning signs. The healthiest smiles come from confidence, consistency, and preventative care - so let’s make 2026 the year you prioritise your smile 😁

Patient Before & After 📸
This patient had a gummy smile, known as excessive gingival display in medical terms. It’s when you smile and too much gum tissue shows above the top teeth. Genetics are often responsible for a top lip that is either hyperactive or too short.
Dr Ronette used muscle relaxant injections to temporarily paralyse the muscles in the patient’s mouth that raise her upper lip when she smiled. The treatment involves carefully positioned injections above the lip which will stop the lip from raising excessively and showing too much gum when smiling.
How often should you have this treatment? When you notice lip starting to climb again, Dr Ronette recommends having a top up every 6-9 months.
