🦷 How often should you really have a dental check-up?
For most patients, we recommend visiting every 6 months.
Why? Because a cavity can go from first forming to becoming noticeable in around 6 months. By catching decay early, we can often treat it with minimal intervention before it causes significant damage to the tooth.
Waiting 12 months or longer gives decay more time to grow, potentially leading to larger fillings, root canal treatment, or even tooth loss.
Regular check-ups help us spot problems early, keep your teeth healthy, and save you time, discomfort, and money in the long run.
Prevention is always better than cure book your check-up today!

Top Tips to Manage Discomfort on Your Invisalign Journey 🦷
If your aligners are feeling a little uncomfortable, don’t worry it’s usually a sign that your teeth are moving into their new positions.
✔️ Wear your aligners for 22 hours a day. The more consistently you wear them, the quicker your teeth adapt and the less discomfort you’ll experience.
✔️ When you switch to a new set of aligners, stick to softer foods for the first day or two if your teeth feel tender.
✔️ If needed, you can take paracetamol to help manage any discomfort. We recommend avoiding ibuprofen, as inflammation is part of the tooth movement process.
Remember, a little discomfort now means you’re one step closer to your new smile! ✨

🩸 Bleeding when you floss? Don’t panic - it’s usually your gums trying to tell you something.
More often than not, bleeding gums are caused by food and plaque trapped between the teeth, which can lead to inflammation. The good news? Consistent flossing can help remove the build-up and allow your gums to heal.
If your gums bleed when you floss, don’t stop. Gently floss the area again and continue flossing daily. In many cases, the bleeding improves as the inflammation settles.
However, if left untreated, inflamed gums can progress to gum disease, which may affect the health of your teeth and gums in the long term.
If you’re concerned about bleeding gums or need advice on your oral health, our team is here to help. 🦷
